Innovation was the name of the game during this event. The company invited their top clients to visit the Milan fairgrounds for a tradeshow. They wanted the trip based around innovation, so what better event theme than one that includes Leonardo Da Vinci?
Guests enjoyed the beautiful, 5 star Excelsior Gallia, located on the famous square in front of Milan’s central train station.
Upon their arrival, the guests were given the opportunity to build a great first impression of the city at the Piazza del Dumo, or “Cathedral Square.” At an outside cafe, they could look at the interesting and extravagant exterior of the Cathedral while enjoying an espresso or cappuccino. A 2-minute walk then took them to lunch at an amazing trattoria before heading to the fairgrounds for the show.
In the late afternoon there was a private visit of Milan’s Science and Technology Museum. This museum holds the world’s largest collection of models based on Da Vinci’s drawings. The Galleria Leonardo Da Vinci, where the models are displayed, was the location for cocktails and hors d’oevres. These were shortly followed by a gala dinner in the majestic Sala delle Colonne.
The next morning was dedicated to a team building activity – a treasure hunt with iPads in order to discover Milan. In honor of Da Vinci’s active mind, guests had to answer riddles, figure out puzzles and find ten various locations.
The rally ended at a local restaurant for wine and lots of antipasto. A surprise visit from Leonardo himself was the culmination of the event, with Da Vinci announcing the winner of the treasure hunt.
